Aurelio and Penoro Scordato, the Twin Knights

The miraculous ressurection of Aurelio Scordato, was greeted by somewhat of a tumult by the Teunusian cult of the god of Lake Hali. The god of the lake, so often Understood to take, had given back. When the lake finally claimed the pair, their legend ended and their myth began. Over time their role went from that of two siblings, to that of a dual-faced paragon. The name of Aurelio-Penoro is often invoked by those Teunusians who desire protection, and many claim that the protection that was sought was indeed found.

“Have you seen those two? They give me the creeps!”

“I know, right! I don't know why the King keeps them in the Palace.”

“Apparently they were both very good friends of his mother, the ex-Regent, and they have been kept on since then.”

“But why?”

“The number of early assassination attempts they've stopped between them are more than I could hope to count.”

“I guess you're right… he does look intimidating.”

“He's not even the one you want to worry about. They're called the Twin Knights for a reason.”

“On the shores of Lake Hali stands a statue; it is of two people sitting by the shore, watching the stillness of the lake. The plaque marks them as 'Aurelio and Penoro Scordato, as they were found at the end of their lives. The lake has claimed them'. It was built in reverence of the Twin Knights by the cultists of the God of Lake Hali, and has now remained here for over one hundred years.”
