Carlotta is able to duplicate herself with assistance from Anacleta and Feeniks and like many others takes advantages of having a double life. While she isn’t able to link the minds as she had hoped, both versions lead fulfilling lives. Carlotta without the Shade spends her time exploring with Feeniks while the other version stays in Esharia with the SHADEs to help out.

Carlotta remains loyal protector and adviser of Arianna and her family. With the assistance of the SHADEs and the new intelligence network she is able to help deter the majority of assasination attempts. Afterall, why would one want to go up against someone who can literally spit fire?

She resides south of the Plains where she can easily travel into Hashat but also keep an eye on the Grand Duchess Lisabetta. Although skeptical, Lisabetta seems to be keeping the peace and there is noticeably less hunger than before alongside an increase in performing arts. However, Carlotta eventually figures out that Arianne had been the one to betray her to her family. She finally comes clean and seems sincere in her apologies. She offers to leave her service, ashamed of her actions, but swears to make amends and from that day tries hard to do so.

Carlotta establishes a unique unit of SHADEs for the purpose of intelligence and peacekeeping in Esharia and the Capital. Carlotta is also an integral part of maintaining the SHADEs who reside in Esharia and she ensures that her work is passed on to the next generation to reap their benefits although she lives somewhat longer than the average person thanks to them. While it isn’t something she sees in her lifetime Carlotta’s work is very much the beginning of a SHADE civilization that will continue to grow long after she has gone. It starts in the Plains but will eventually migrate South, out of Esharia.
