Lisabetta Toqare De Sopra, Who Sings Things Anew

On her twentieth birthday after the Fleet have departed, Lisabetta prepares for what will be one of the happiest days of her life. It is on the day that she marries Jace Toqare and Antonio Sorini and it is certainly a wedding that will go down in history. Instead of a lavish location as expected of a Grand Duchess the three of them exchange their vows in the burned ruins of a village. Her choice of dress and the flowers she holds carry a message of rebirth which in many ways is what the day signals. There is new leadership in the Plains as the new family comes together, the new De Sopra name and a lot of land to rebuild. Sorrow is also there among the petals. The ceremony is an elegant affair that goes off without a hitch and all the people of the Plains who can squeeze in are there to mark the occasion.

Within days of the wedding Lisabetta wasted no time in rebuilding the land that was now hers to cherish, staying in the makeshift shelters as a sign of solidarity opposed to returning to the Toqare home each night. It takes a while but she is able to help the Plains return to their former glory with many improvements and a generally happier and better fed populace.

She also establishes her own performing arts college which proves to be popular, especially with many of her people idolising her for her talents as an artist as well as a leader. She takes great joy in sharing her gift as a teacher. As well as this there is also the Prosper theatre to commemorate Prospero (although many do not know this, especially as his work was later believed to be plagarised from Malvolio Fortuna). There are also several celebrations that are widely celebrated on an annual basis, the most prominent being the ritual of the Sphere and the day of the eruption. Her lullaby sang on that day is now commonplace in every household.

Once satisfied that that the Plains and Toqare are at peace, between them Lisabetta, Jace and Antonio have 10 children. A few preferred life in the Plains as they grew up but as encouraged most set out to travel and family reunions would always be large and full of stories. It's a busy life raising a large family while looking after such a large, vast region but with the help of her husbands Lisabetta is still able to find time to sing and help with the odd case alongside Antonio.

Grand Duchess Lisabetta takes her place beside Duke Jacopo, Sorrow in hand, and both step forward to reenact the ritual of the Sphere. It has been twenty years since the tradition began but it is widely celebrated and full of song. -A history of the Plains, second edition.
