Monte de Fabio Diite, The Eternal Lover

“We are here to remember Monte de Fabio: a man of art, a man of beauty, and a man of endless vibrancy. He was not one who was without faults, as all of you know, but he was loved by many and he was my brohter. We cannot let him go unremembered for all that was good in his life. Thank you all for joining us.”

— Cece's opening remarks of Monte de Fabio's memorial service aboard The Beloved.

In one of the courtyards of the Beloved is found an old statue, from the time when it was grown. It shows two people embarced, linked together, happy and smiling. The face are definitely reminiscent of Monte and Cece, but only faintly so - in fact, there is a universal quality to the thing. No matter where the Fleet travels, this memorial to family and love will travel with it.

Recent X-ray analysis has discovered a hither-to undiscovered set of murals on the walls of the old Royal Palace. They appear to display a number of figures from the middle of the period of the Esharian Royalty; dating puts it in the few years after the event known as The Breach. The depictions are highly symbolic, showing the old Halmid and Great Lines in very negative light, and this new evidence must surely trigger a reevaluation of our understanding of this history. Sadly, the painter of this seminal piece has been lost to history.
