Mada Avdali, with the Throne of Gems

Mada Avdali is curiously known for two very different things. His assistant Ozerli Shaltani eventually established a major jewelry line based on his beautiful pendants. These were generally modelled by the ever gorgeous Mitt Nakesh. Part of the appeal of these pendants was not just their extreme artistic beauty, but also the extensive enhancing enchantments woven into them. After decades of experimentation he eventually was able to make long lasting extremely potent enchantments that could be tailored to the tastes and needs of the individual user. Many of these pieces became priceless family heirlooms.

The other thing Mada became known for is the creation of the wildly popular hoverboard league. In an homage to the first race through Hashat, the trophy of the final race was always referred to “the Throne“. The league kept many of the things found in that first race. Racers still gathered weapons and items while on the course: rocket powered turtle shells, banana peel shaped anti-hover mines, etc. The sport became an extremely popular past time, spawning numerous variant versions, including major and minor leagues. Significant amounts of media also spun out of it, TV shows, movies, and eventually video games based on it.

However, unlike in that first race, Mada instituted some actual health and safety regulations which made the sport far less deadly. By and large these proved popular, as they allowed fans to follow good racers without the fear of becoming attached to someone who would very quickly die.

The first of these regulations was of course “We don’t care if she’s dead. No Ku.”
